Recent developments include the August 2025 agreement to sell its Aerospace and Defense business, encompassing optical and laser systems with 550 employees across 10 sites, to Advent for $400 million to reduce debt and focus on core growth markets; the September 2025 launch of a quad-channel integrated circuit family for 800G and 1.6T optical transceivers in cloud, AI, and telecom networks; capacity doubling for indium phosphide lasers via 6-inch wafer production to meet AI datacenter demand; and November 2025 introductions of the Axon FP femtosecond laser for multiphoton microscopy and the EDGE CUT20 OEM cutting solution paired with EDGE FL20 fiber laser for intelligent metal cutting.
